Try our outdoor adventure packages:
White Water
River rating: 2 to 3.5
Our Resort will be happy to book your white water
experience for you with one of the rafting companies.
Horseback Riding
Riding and Rafts, located on-site, offers guided and
unguided horseback trail rides in the unspoiled backcountry of the Bridger-Teton
National Forest. Ride rugged trails and old primitive roads to the Palisades
lookout, only a two-hour ride from the Resort. You may want to include a sack
lunch from our Market right on site which would complete your day's adventure.
Fishing
Try your hand at catching a Rainbow Trout, a Brookie, a
German Brown, Mackinaw or a Cutthroat. It's Blue Ribbon action and a thrill of a
lifetime. The Alpen Haus Resort can arrange a guided float or fishing trip.
Snowmobiling
Powder and Mountains--what else could you want when it
comes to snowmobiling- Alpine is quickly becoming the capital of the Northern
Rockies for snowmobiling. We have over 400 miles of groomed trails and deep
powder--you can see why Alpine has made the SnoWest's top 5 list for four years
in a row. The Alpen Haus Resort can arrange snowmobile trips for you, whether
you own a machine or need to rent one. We also provide trail maps to help guide
you through our winter wonderland.
Bird Watching
Discover over 200 species of birds making their home here, including the
American Bald Eagle. Our USDA Forest Service bird viewing area is just south of
town.
Photography
Alpine's Elk Feed Ground in winter is
located one mile south of town. Our area is a mecca for the photographer whether
you are an amateur or a professional.
Hiking and Backpacking
There
are many things to see and do while visiting beautiful Star Valley Wyoming.
While visiting Afton you'll pass beneath the world's largest elk antler arch, an
18 foot arch using over 3,000 elk antlers.
